888.com to Enter the Sports Betting Market PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 07 November 2007

Following the publication of a very positive third quarter financial report last week, 888.com has recently announced that it will breaking into the sports betting sphere of the gambling industry by signing a deal with the British company, Rank. Under the new contract, Rank will provide 888.com with a sports betting service and, in return, will benefit from the online casino company’s international experience and liquidity.

Since the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was signed into law in 2006, 888.com lost over half its customer base when it was forced to leave the United State’s gambling industry. However, the company managed to bounce back thanks to an aggressive entry into new global markets and the results of these efforts were clear with the report of increased revenue in the third quarter of 2007, compared to last year. The gambling industry should expect to see the joint Rank/888.com service up and running within the first few months of 2008.
