Good news for loyal Apple lovers! The leading online poker site, PokerStars.com, has announced that it is releasing a beta version of its software that will be compatible for Macintosh users on its site. The company has already been test-driving the Mac software in its play-for-fun section for a while now, and has finally given the thumbs up for the product to become available for real money players. The beta version is nothing new to PokerStars customers, who will recognize the software’s features as the same present in the traditional Windows version. The only difference is that the Preferred Seat feature and Layout Manager is lacking in the new format. Online poker players who use Apple programs are especially pleased with the new product, as it does away with the need to use third-party Window emulator programs that was the norm until now at the Kahnawake-licensed poker room.
