888 Announces $3-million Poker Tournament |

The competition is already underway for 888.com’s recently launched World Poker Crown tournament, with a guaranteed prize pool of $3-million. One third of the overall prize will be handed to the winner of the final event on May 10th, making this one of the most lucrative events in the industry this year. Matt Robinson, speaking for 888.com said: “WorldPokerCrown.com is a very exciting new poker tournament and the biggest we have ever offered players”. Players can try their luck at a number of satellite events starting at as little as $1.20, or they can go the direct buy-in route that comes with a $1050 price tag. The top eight contestants in the World Poker Crown tournament will win a final place at the final offline event beginning in Spain on May 6th, 2008. The finals of the tournament will be screened on Sky Sports 2 on May 12th.
