Turkish Organizations Come Together to Fight Sportsbetting Scams |

Three Turkish organizations met in Istanbul this week in a bid to improve the ethics in the country’s sportsbetting industry. Representatives from the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), the state owned Spor Toto Organization and Intelek, the Intralot subsidiary that runs the popular Iddaa sportsbetting game, agreed that steps would be taken to make the industry more transparent and avoid betting scams. Under the terms of the deal, Intelek will provide statistical information to the Turkish Football Federation through the fixed odds Iddaa betting game. In addition, by monitoring its own computerized system and risk management center, Intelek will be able to advise the TFF and Spor Toto of any suspicious betting patterns. Conditions of the deal state that TFF has the right to decide which steps to take, whether legal or investigative, in order to solve the problem.
