Wednesday, 07 May 2008

A fantastic performance from its casino division, along with new licensee arrangements and the launching of new products, have contributed to fantastic Q1 revenue figures for industry-leading software company, Playech Limited. The company released its numbers for the first quarter of this year to show a 97% growth from last year, to $39 million in revenues. This was a 19% jump from last quarter.

The company’s CEO, Mor Weizer said that it had been an outstanding quarter for Playtech, which registered an impressive quarter on quarter revenue growth. He said that the addition of new licensees during the period as well as the roll out of the company’s new Asian P2P games, as well as Flash Poker, meant that the company was well positioned to face the second and third quarters of the year.

"The Group continues to pursue significant business opportunities across all the regulated markets and the Board is highly confident regarding the Group's trading performance for 2008 and beyond," said Weizer.
