Despite a particularly scandalous year – one which eventually led to the dismissal of its President - the British Columbia Lottery has reported excellent financial figured for the year ending March 31st, 2008. According to the company, the introduction of its online lottery division, as well as the good performance of its bingo and casino divisions, led to the company reporting total gaming revenues of $2.6 billion. “BCLC has gone through a tough year, but demonstrated remarkable resilience in our ability to adapt to and manage significant change. There is no question that BCLC is a better organization that it was a year ago. The Ombudsman challenged us to do better for our players, and, in this regard, we have,” said the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the British Columbia Lottery, Michael Graydon.
