An investigation headed by Frank Catania into the three year cheating scam that rocked Ultimate Bet online poker room revealed that the ‘super user’ behind this debacle was none other than a former World Series of Poker champion, Russell Hamilton. Hamilton has been associated to Ultimate Bet through its affiliate program and was the prime suspect of amateur investigators studying this case.

As a result, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, which licenses Ultimate Bet, has taken a number of tough measures against the site, including directions to compensate any player affected by the cheating scam by next month, and the removal of any employee or manager that the Commission deems ‘unsuitable’. It is expected that the Commission’s final report on this issue will be published next month.
