Montel Williams, Emmy award winning talk show host and keen poker fan, announced that he would be launching a brand new reality poker show in November. The show, entitled International Team Poker League, will combine online poker entertainment with an elimination type schedule on television in a bid to crown the winner of the series. Satellites would be held at online poker rooms and the winners would take part in a land-based tournament in Vegas.

“I love poker” said Williams. “It's a game that has everything, played by kings and leaders, and regular Joes alike. It crosses boundaries and borders, thanks to technology and the internet, a global phenomenon that brings people of different ethnicities and origin together around the world. It is truly international, and the time is right for the International Team Poker League to take poker to a new level and a wider audience.”
