UK sportsbetting giant, Betfair, has announced that it has become the official betting partner of the English and Wales Betting Board (ECB), just in time for the exciting cricket season that kicks off in the summer months. The deal with ECB means maximum exposure for Betfair, including at eight Test match grounds where the company will be able to operate perimeter boards and promotional activity.

Perhaps the biggest coup for Betfair will be its exposure at the much awaited nPower Ashes tournament against Australia this summer. “The npower Ashes Series will be the biggest sporting event of the summer, and provides the perfect platform to take our growing brand to a wider consumer market,” said Betfair executive, Lee Cowles.

“The ECB is delighted Betfair has chosen to extend its already successful relationship with English cricket,” said the head of sales at ECB, Nick Moore. “We believe the exciting range of assets it will receive in becoming an Official Partner of the ECB will provide a platform to enable it to further develop its association and presence within cricket.”
