As part of its efforts to boost the online gambling industry’s contribution to customer protection, the Remote Gambling Association made a £10,000 donation to Gambling Therapy, the international online service that offers assistance and support to problem gamblers and their families. The donation was made as part of Responsible Gambling Awareness Day.

“Gambling Therapy is entering an exciting new phase of its development,” said Kevin Farrell-Roberts, the Chief Executive Officer of Gordon Moody Association which runs Gambling Therapy. “The donation we have just received from the RGA has been pivotal in providing the security we needed to move to a new call centre from which we will be launching a 24/7 service, structured self help programmes and a dedicated support service for parents and carers of adolescent problem gamblers and gamers.”

The RGA also produced a video outlining the efforts made by online gambling operators to protect their customers through age verification technologies and other systems.
