Kentucky Winner Grabs Massive Powerball Prize PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 30 December 2009

Just in time for the New Year, one extremely lucky player has taken home the first prize in the Powerball Lottery. The Kentucky resident has won $128.6 million on ticket purchased online – one of the highest wins in the history of the lottery.

The twist to this story is that Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear has found himself in a fix because of this win. The governor has spent the entire year in major efforts to ban online gambling in the state. Thus far, nobody from Governor Beshear’s office has stepped up to decline the winnings earned from what is essentially online gambling.
