Playtech, the leading online gambling operator, was pleased to announce a positive fourth quarter trading, with a rise in gross income to €38.5 million – a 21% year on year growth.

Total revenues for the fourth quarter reached €30.4 million, and full year revenues grew by 3%.

“The fourth quarter was a solid quarter with strong increases in all business areas,” said Mor Weiser, Chief Executive Officer of Playtech. “This strong performance has continued in the first three weeks of the year. The board is very comfortable with market expectations for the year ended December 31, 2009 and looks forward to 2010 with confidence as another significant year of development.”

Revenues from Playtech’s popular casino arm totaled €20.7 million – a growth of 10% year on year.

Playtech is a premier provider of gaming services, including casino, poker, live gaming, bingo, mobile gaming, fixed odds, Asian games, progressive jackpots and sports betting.
