A research group has revealed extremely good expectations for the online mobile gaming market in the next several years. Juniper Research predicts that gamblers throughout the world will wager over $12-billion by the year 2010, with most of that money being spent on mobile lotteries. Already, lotteries played over mobile devices are a huge business in the Far East. The United Kingdom’s mobile industry is also expected to pick up substantially with the new relaxed gambling laws in that country.
Experts also predict that when the Unlawful Internet Gambling Act is eventually abolished, the United States will overtake all other world markets in its domination of the mobile gaming industry by the year 2012. While winnings from mobile games will reach $106-mllion at the end of 2007, by the end of 2012 this number will increase to an incredible $3.2-billion, indicating the potential strength of this industry sector. |
