This week, several of the major online casino industry watchdog groups released a new responsible gaming code of conduct that covers all the main issues of internet gambling. The launch of this new code came at the sixth annual European Interactive Gaming Congress and Expo in Barcelona and was introduced by groups such as eCOGRA (eCommerce Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance), GamCare and the RGA (Remote Gambling Association). Representatives of all the main European countries and jurisdictions who attended the conference were informed about the new global initiative.
There are thirty main points pertaining to the online gambling industry covered in the new code of conduct. These include matters such as underage gambling, marketing and promotions, support staff training and effective communication methods between online casino sites and their customers. The industry watchdog groups hope that this new code will be adopted across the board and be used as a minimum standard by all gambling locations in the world. |
