Stolen Parx Casino Chips Recovered

A Brooklyn, N.Y., man who allegedly stole a stack of gaming chips worth $55,000 in the Parx Casino in Bensalem, Bucks County, Tuesday afternoon was arrested immediately after returning to the casino about four hours later, state police stated.

David J. Blatt allegedly stole 11 chips worth $5,000 every from a blackjack table whilst in the Parx Casino about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday. Court records show he turned 41 years old in jail on Wednesday.

State police said a video captured the theft and led for the identification of Blatt, who had reached into the blackjack dealer’s tray though seated at the table. He left the casino using the chips and drove away inside a light-colored tiny sport-utility-vehicle.

When Blatt returned to the casino about 7:30 p.m. together with the chips in his possession, state police gaming enforcement officers arrested him. All of the chips were recovered, and Blatt was sent to Bucks County Prison under $75,000 bail on 11 counts each of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen house.
