The US casino operator Delaware North teamed up with the European online gaming and sports betting provider GAMING1 to boost its digital presence.
Under the provisions of the latest agreement, the two sides will work together to deliver online gaming and sports betting solutions to operators across the US and North America.
Delaware North will make the most out of the Belgian gaming company’s proprietary online casino and sports betting platform, which will allow it to further expand its markets presence across regulated jurisdictions in the US. The plans could also include Canada, which has recently made single-game sports betting legal.
Establishing a Joint Business Venture
Delaware North and GAMING1 will establish a joint venture called Gamewise. The renowned casino operator also announced it would offer new online gambling products exclusively through its Betly.com site. It will target regulated online markets where it already operates land-based casinos.
The new Gamewise venture will benefit from Delaware North’s vas experience in running gaming and hospitality venues and GAMING1’s technology solutions. The Belgian provider of online casino and sports betting services boasts a partnership model that has been successfully implemented across regulated markets all over the world.
Gamewise will offer a flexible online casino and sports betting platform to new customers in the US (and possibly Canada) and deliver a seamless online gaming and wagering experience. The said platform boasts remarkable gamification capabilities and can be fully integrated across brick and mortar properties. It also offers localized wager prices and acceptance ratios.
Delivering Quality Solutions Across North America
Commenting on the partnership, Vice-President of Marketing at Delaware North, Luisa Woods, said the new business venture would fill a gap in the gaming market. This should be achieved by providing casino operators across North America with solutions that would allow them to further expand into the growing online gaming and sports betting market.
Woods explained that by combining Delaware North’s experience with GAMING1’s expertise, the new business venture would deliver quality products to customers across the United States and North America. She pointed out the importance of GAMING1’s previous track record in working with other land-based operators and the strength of its in-house developed technology.
Victor Araneda, Chief Business Development Officer at GAMING1, said his side paid particular attention to designing technology for enhancing the convergence between land-based and online gaming environments. He also stated that expanding into North America was an exciting moment and pointed out they were delighted to join forces with Delaware North.
Delaware North debuted in the US sports betting market in 2018 after launching retail sportsbooks and a betting application in West Virginia. The move was made possible through a partnership with Miomni Gaming. However, the collaboration with the European provider ended in March 2019, only a couple of days before March Madness began.
That’s when the company started looking for a new partner, which would allow it to once again establish its presence in the US online gaming and sports betting market.
