DraftKings has announced its latest move, which will enable the leading sports betting and daily fantasy sports operator to enhance its content capabilities even further.

The Boston-based operator has completed the purchase of Vegas Sports Information Network (VSiN), the broadcast and content provider operating from Las Vegas, Nevada. VSiN is a developer, producer, and distributor of sports betting content, providing up to eighteen hours of the live program on a daily basis.

Both Sides to Benefit from the Move

At this moment, there is no detailed information on the financial terms of this acquisition. However, it’s clear the move will allow DraftKings to further increase its presence across the market where it operates. Currently, DraftKings is present in fourteen US states.

VSiN allows users to access its own original content through a 24-hour stream. In addition to that, the provider’s content is available on many popular videos and audio channels, including Comcast Xfinity, Rogers’ Sportsnet, Marquee Sports Network, Sling TV, MSG Networks, fuboTV, NESN, and AT&T Pittsburgh.

The list of content contributors on VSiN includes Michael Lombardi, former National Football League (NFL) executive, and Brent Musburger, the renowned sportscaster and former ESPN and CBS broadcaster. He is also the current managing editor at VSiN.

Speaking about the most recent acquisition, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman at DraftKings, Jason Robins, said the addition of VSiN would represent a valuable move for the renowned operator. He pointed out that VSiN made credible and authentic content very popular among sports bettors, no matter whether they were experienced or not.

Robins praised VSiN for its brand equity among bettors, the impressive roster of talented broadcasters, and especially its established infrastructure. He explained that DraftKings could use the existing infrastructure and expand it to add more knowledgeable sports betting content.

The Team of Leaders Will Stay the Same

Brian Musburger, VSiN Chief Executive, explained the company was created as a place where sports bettors could find the most credible information to help them make smarter decisions when placing their bets.

Through the power of DraftKings and its network, he is convinced that VSiN would deliver its unique content to a whole new audience of sports bettors.

Following the acquisition, Musburger will remain at the company’s helm. His managerial team will continue to conduct everyday operations. He and his and his leadership team will maintain editorial Independence. According to DraftKings, VSiN’s employee-based will be fully integrated into its global workforce in the coming period. At this moment, DraftKings employs more than 2,600 people.

In August last year, ViSN joined forces with BetMGM to launch a brand-new sports betting program. BetMGM is a betting brand created through the joint venture between MGM Resorts and GVC Holdings.

VSiN hosts discuss the latest BetMGM odds and line movements at its US sportsbooks. The betting operator’s oddsmakers are features at Betting Across America.

Founded in 2012, DraftKings is today the leading daily fantasy sports contest and sports betting operator in the US.
