The Australian developer of online slot games, Lightning Box, has further increased its presence in the United States after launching a selection of its gaming content in the recently-launched online gambling market in West Virginia.

Following the necessary regulatory approval, the renowned gaming company launched its two most popular releases in the Mountain State. Now, slot enthusiasts in West Virginia will be able to see Chicken Fox and Lightning Horseman have earned cult status.

Online gambling has just recently been made available to customers in the state.

Another State Where Lightning Box is Available

This is the fourth state where the gaming studio has made its services available. Earlier this year, Lightning Box debuted in Michigan with a number of its slot games. The move came shortly after the Great Lakes State regulated its online gaming market. The developer has been present in Pennsylvania since November last year. Lightning Box entered all these markets through a partnership with SG Digital, the digital arm of gaming giant Scientific Games, and the Australian side’s long-term partner in the US.

Lightning Box debuted in the US back in 2014 after receiving a New Jersey license and has since built a significant presence at online casinos across the Garden States. New Jersey regulated its online gambling market in 2013 and was for some time the only US state where this activity was allowed.

Commenting on the recent move, Peter Causley, Chief Executive Officer and one of the founders of Lightning Box, said his company was thrilled to have met the requirements in another regulated market as more and more states were opening up for online gambling.

Looking Forward to Seeing the Games in Action

He pointed out that the company’s lineup of games had proven to be very popular with players in the US, brick and mortar venues, and the social casino segment. He was also looking forward to seeing slot fans experience them online.

Speaking about the potential of the market in West Virginia, Causley said it would provide a number of important growth opportunities for Lightning Box, particularly as many established online operators were already present in the state. He explained that many of them were looking forward to joining forces with Lightning Box through SG Digital.

Steve Mayes, one of the directors at Scientific Games’ digital arm, said they were looking forward to seeing their content reach new customers in West Virginia, especially after a series of successful entries in the market across the States. He added he was delighted to bring the developer’s immersive content to local players and at the same time further bolster their partnership with Lightning Box.

Lightning Box has been very active recently. Apart from entering West Virginia’s market, the company has given its best to expand its presence to other jurisdictions as well. Earlier this month, it celebrated its debut in Colombian and Latin America as a whole through a new partnership agreement with online gambling group Betsson.
