Lightning Box Strengthens Its US Presence by Launching Its Games in Michigan

Lightning Box Games

Australian developer of online casino games is set to expand its presence in the US after launching a number of its most popular releases with TwinSpires in Michigan, a gaming property owned by Churchill Downs.

The renowned producer and supplier of gaming content debuted in the Great Lakes State earlier this year after receiving the state’s regulatory body’s approval. The first batch of games from Lightning Box was made available to Michigan players through SG Digital and its OpenGaming platform.

Reaching New Customers

TwinSpires online casino will now host the Sydney-based studio’s three most popular games. The titles available to TwinSpires customers are Lightning Leopard, Lightning Horseman, and Chicken Fox. The three releases have already made their names in the market, proving popular with players of all types.

Lightning Box debuted in the US in 2013 after making its content available to slot lovers in New Jersey. In November last year, it expanded its presence to Pennsylvania following the launch of its games in this lucrative market.

In addition to offering its portfolio of online gambling operators in the country, Lightning Box put a lot of effort into building a significant footprint in the continent’s social gaming market. In July last year, it inked a partnership deal with Ruby Seven Studios. Under the provisions of that agreement, the social casino company gained access to some of the most popular games created by the studio. Headquartered in Nevada, Ruby Seven Studios runs a rapidly-growing network of sites, offering social gaming to a broad audience of players across the States.

Looking Forward to Seeing the Games in Action

The partnership with TwinSpires should be a beneficial one for Lightning Box. The studio’s chief executive, and one of its founders, Peter Causley, pointed out they were delighted to have signed the new deal.

According to him, it was an honor to see their games available to customers of one of the leading and most innovative brands in Michigan.

Causley explained that Churchill Downs, the owner of TwinSpires, was a name that needed no introduction to sports fans. He said that working together with such a reputable name would help the studio bolster its US positions further.

Lightning Box CEO noted his company had a long heritage in the US market and added its exciting slot games are popular among Americans. Causley further said the studio was looking forward to increasing the number of releases available to Michigan players.

Commenting on the move, Richard Sagman, Vice-President at Churchill Downs, stated his side was excited to join forces with Lightning Box. He praised the studio for creating high-quality games and added he was confident their player would love playing Lightning Box quality releases.

TwinSpires has been recently rebranded, becoming Churchill Downs’ online gaming and sports betting arm.

Churchill will also rename all of its online gambling operations in Indiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, Indiana, and Pennsylvania in the next couple of months. The operator has recently launched its new sports betting operation in Tennessee.
