The leading developer of online casino and live dealer games, Playtech, has announced its plans to cement its market positions in the US further.
Playtech is set to open its first live casino studio in the US. Based in Michigan, the studio will be used to broadcast live dealer games for customers across the country.
Repeating the Success of Its Latvian-Based Studio
Unfortunately, the company hasn’t provided any detailed information about its future studio or any operational date. However, we know what technology will the Michigan facility use. According to available information, Playtech will emulate the same technology that has helped its studio in Latvia become incredibly successful.
The gaming technology giant has even more plans for its studio in Michigan. Each operator will get a dedicated live dealer table, which will be launched together with new live dealer games. Playtech has also confirmed that its extensive live casino content portfolio will be available across both retail and online sectors.
The soon-to-be-launched live casino studio will be based in Southfield, a city that is quickly turning into a leading technological center.
But That’s Only the Beginning
Playtech doesn’t mean to stop there, as its ultimate plans involve expanding its presence across the US. Providing gaming content to every regulated state may be an ambitious plan, but Playtech has the means to make it possible.
As a part of that strategy, the renowned developer has already established a foothold in America’s gaming and sports betting capital New Jersey. In February this year, Playtech inked a deal with Parx Casino, which enabled the provider to offers its portfolio of gaming products and services from the IMS platform to the popular casino brand. In 2020, Playtech secured supply deals with BetMGM and Bet365.
Shimon Akad, Chief Operating Officer at Playtech, said the new Michigan studio would be designed to become one of the most sophisticated live casino studios and a broadcasting hub tailored explicitly for customers in the US. He pointed out the studio would combine cutting-edge technology and premium entertainment to deliver the ultimate playing experience.
Live dealer games have seen a boom in popularity over the last couple of years. Thanks to the premium experience provided by live casinos, fans of online gaming can enjoy a wide selection of games without leaving their homes. The live casino segment is dominated by Evolution, a provider who currently broadcasts its content from live casino studios in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Just like Playtech, Evolution also plans to launch a Michigan studio soon.
