Boyd Gaming and FanDuel have announced plans to increase their presence in New Jersey and Pennsylvania by launching a new online casino brand called Stardust.
The move will also mark the renowned gaming brand’s return to real-money gambling.
According to available information, the Stardust casino should be launched next month. All the preparations have been done, and the only thing necessary is the regulatory approval of the related state bodies.
FanDuel to Further Increase Its Market Presence
FanDuel is already present in New Jersey with Betfair Casino. However, the operator plans to rebrand its current operation under the Stardust brand while offering its service to Pennsylvania customers for the first time.
Players in New Jersey and Pennsylvania will be able to gamble using the Stardust Casino app, available for iOS and Android.
The Stardust was one of the most popular casinos in Las Vegas for nearly half a century. Although the resort has been out of business for more than a decade, the name hasn’t lost on its popularity.
Commenting on the new deal, Keith Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer of Boyd Gaming, said his company was excited to work with FanDuel on launching their first online casinos. He also added that the move would give both sides a significant advantage when offering a distinctive online gaming experience to their customers.
Using the Existing Platform
The Stardust Casino will use FanDuel’s in-house developed platform, applications, and account management system. Customers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania will be able to make use of Boyd Gaming’s loyalty program. B Connected player loyalty program allows users to earn points and credits, which can be later used at the casino.
The Stardust Casino will include a broad offering of casino content, from slots, video poker, and live dealer games, to blackjack and roulette. The site will also provide a safe gambling environment for players while at the same time featuring a secure and quick cashout.
President of FanDuel Group, Amy Howe, said the new Stardust would have the same offer customers on Betfair Casino loved. She added the new stylish look would incorporate all the glamour and nostalgia of old Las Vegas.
Howe also said that Stardust would allow FanDuel to create a unified platform in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, which would take its product to a whole new level. At the same time, it will integrate Boyd Gaming’s loyalty program to offer more value to users.
Once the online casino receives regulatory approval, it will be available at www.stardustcasino.com. Players can download the Star Casino app for both iOS and Android. Customers in New Jersey who already have an account at Betfair Casino will be able to use their login credentials. The same goes for existing FanDuel fantasy/sportsbook users.
In addition to New Jersey and Pennsylvania, the FanDuel sportsbook and casino app will also be available to Michigan customers.
