Evolution Gaming enters Pennyslvania to get a foothold on the US market

Pennsylvania Online Gambling

Evolution Gaming has launched its products with Caesars Casino & Sportsbook in Pennyslvania as part of a deal between the live casino games developer and Caesars Entertainment Inc.

The casino will have access to the entire range of live casino games of Evolution Gaming without any restrictions, so Pennyslvania players will get to enjoy top-notch software that is currently the world leader across all markets.

The entry of Evolution Gaming into the US market and, specifically, Pennyslvania market, is further strengthened by opening a live studio in the Keystone State in October, adding to two live studios that were already present in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This is another important milestone in the live casino developer’s strategy to become the leader in the live casino niche in the US market that is quickly opening up to regulated igaming providers.

Evolution obtained a conditional Interactive Gaming Manufacturer License from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board in September 2019. The license enabled it to enter the state’s online gambling market which had only been open for about two months when Evolution secured its regulatory approval to offer its content with locally licensed online gaming operators.

Johan Nordstrom, CCO at Evolution Gaming, said that they are “very proud to be working with one of the most iconic brand names in the casino world” and that they “look forward to helping Caesars achieve their goals in the enormously exciting US Gaming market and beyond.”

Christina Stuart, Head of Caesars Sports and Online Gaming for the casino giant, added that “the company is bullish on the future of iGaming” and that it is “important to them to continue to provide their players with the best in the sector and with asuperior experience and the latest technology.”

This news is coming shortly after Evolution Gaming confirmed that its live casino content has become available at BetMGM in New Jersey. BetMGM is operated by a joint venture between GVC Holdings and MGM Resorts International.

Lightning Box enters PA too

The Sydney-based online casino games developer Lightning Box didn’t make as big splash as Evolution Gaming did, but they snuck into the Pennyslvania market by offering two of their most popular online slots via Scientific Games’ Open Gaming System (OGS).

Lightning Horseman and Respin Rhino are the two slots that are now available in the Keystone State via OGS. The games are available to all locally licenced igaming operators as well as their PA-based players.

There will be more popular Lightning Box slots released in the coming months through the partnership with Scientific Games. Lightning Box first entered the US soil through New Jersey in 2015, when their games became available in the Garden State.

Red Tiger and NetEnt follow

Online casino games developer Red Tiger has just made its US debut by launching a selection of their online slots in Pennsylvania. Red Tiger is a part of the NetEnt group.

Pennsylvania gaming revenue up 13%

While $320,000 may not sound like a lot of revenue, especially when it comes to gambling, it marks a steady increase of 13% compared to the October 2019 revenue in Pennyslvania.

Sources of gaming revenue regulated by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board include slot machines, table games, internet gaming, retail and internet sports wagering, fantasy contests and video gaming terminals (VGTs). The Board has posted separate reports for these types of gaming on its website.

Retail slots lead the charge by far, with retail tables coming in at second place. Online slots are third, with sports betting fourth and online casino games fifth. Fantasy sports, video gaming terminals and online poker represent only a fraction of the total revenue.
