Gaming software program giant NetEnt has applied to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to get a licence to supply nearby operators with its online casino games.
Last year, Pennsylvania approved a bill to permit on-line casino gambling. NetEnt hopes to be in a position to deliver its table games and slots portfolio to Pennsylvania casinos for their on-line casino operations.
Erik Nyman, managing director of NetEnt Americas, said: “We are excited to continue our strategic expansion in the US.
“We have enjoyed success in New Jersey and believe that this will continue in Pennsylvania. We’ll launch with a mix of our table games, video slots, jackpot games and unique features like totally free spins that have been significantly appreciated by our customers and their players,” he said.
“Our ambition would be to be live in Pennsylvania as quickly because the marketplace opens.”
Pennsylvania will be the second large US state to regulate online casino, after New Jersey, and is the fifth biggest state by population.
